<image:caption>What We Do We share, facilitate, train, and implement best practices and innovations in schools on evidenced-based R2R practices, school transformation, student-centered classroom literacy practices, and school -community environmental literacy programs. We create vehicles for exchange that allows organizations to share best practices and exchange key learnings through organizing knowledge fairs and other engagement vehicles. We encourage the implementation of sound youth development practices through mentorship by working with public and non-governmental organizations to design and implement mentorship programs particularly youth living in at-risk situations using our BridgeMentor360 framework. We deliver integrated and interdisciplinary capacity building services to strengthen organizations impact, effectiveness, and responsiveness to populations and community needs and offer TSBI training services through BPA and other capacity building services.</image:caption>

<image:caption>BridgeMentor360 builds upon the experience of legacy professionals who have worked in various sectors and are willing to share their knowledge and skills with young adults entering into the field of work. The theory is simple: As mentees are mentored by legacy professionals, these young adult mentees will in turn mentor others in their respective communities. In Picture: Children’s author, Stacey Alfonso-Mills, as a Legacy Mentor, demonstrates to UWI-DCFA’s inspiring young adult authors how to design Read to Rise (R2R) children’s books.</image:caption>

<image:title>Schools Connect - Bridge Foundation joins GLOBAL CELEBRATION OF READING</image:title>
<image:caption>As tradition, Bridge Foundation donates books to schools and requests schools to engage in student centered activities on Jumpstart Read for the Record (RFR) to encourage reading and promote literacy. Bridge Foundation requests each school to fill out an application form and a tally sheet to count student readers on Read for the Record Day. RFRD materials include each year a school preparation package and activity guide customized for Jumpstart selected book written by international author and local book written local authors. The Foundation encourages schools to join Jumpstart and over 20+ countries to promote the importance of reading. Note: COVID-19 realities prevented T&T schools participation in 2020.</image:caption>

<image:title>Schools Connect</image:title>
<image:caption>Author Oge Mora This year’s Read for the Record Day is all about the Jumpstart selected book, entitled, "Thank you Omu! "and locally selected book entitled, "Icky, Sticky, Patchy Monster." The Jumpstart selected book is about sharing, caring and appreciation. Your school can share with students the transformational power of giving and its role in uplifting the hearts and minds of others, especially those who are most in need. Our theme for Trinidad and Tobago RFR 2019 is Sharing is Caring - One Community to transform lives within and outside their schools. We are requesting all schools to select a theme identified in the school preparation and activity guides to ensure that our artistic and written messages are purposeful and motivational. The story of Thank you Omu! is about giving of oneself and the influential power of community. When we give unconditionally, like Omu, and work together, people around us can experience the power of our love and kindness. Let us do the same in Trinidad and Tobago on November 7th, 2019. We also request your participation in R2R Green Space We Care on RFRD by reading the book, "Icky, Sticky, Patchy Monster" by Ananda Poon and Andrea Gruny. Both are young, fledgling authors to be supported and acknowledged. Let's continue to spread a message of sharing is caring to create one community of hope and joy.</image:caption>

<image:title>Schools Connect - We promote local authors on RFRD and throughout the year</image:title>
<image:caption>It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to develop a story based on an experience in your community. The Foundation will work with you to make your story come alive. The two authors, Amanda Poon and Andrea Gruny interactively worked with R2R students to gather knowledge about their communities, and with our staff to collect relevant information about the environmental challenges within the communities of Mayaro and Guayaguayare. Creatively, the authors developed a beautiful story about “The Icky, Sticky, Patch Monster’. Enjoy, and look forward to receiving feedback about the book.</image:caption>
